About the Program

Graduates of the Bachelor's degree program in Sport Science are able to plan, organize, design and evaluate teaching, learning and training processes for target groups of different ages, different performance levels and different motivations in leisure, health and formally organized sports based on a broad sport-scientific and methodical-practical education. They possess special competence for carrying out diagnostic measures, planning intervention programs and their evaluation. The program consists of modules in sports science fundamentals (including research methods, biological foundations, sports medicine, training science, movement science, sports pedagogy, sports psychology, sports sociology), practical sports modules (including athletics, swimming, gymnastics, dance, team sports), didactics, teaching methodology, and internships. Students also choose specialization subjects and electives. The program opens up access to further scientific qualifications and allows entry into a variety of professions, particularly in the following professional fields: public relations, education and cultural work, prevention and rehabilitation, management and administration in profit and non-profit organizations.
