Real Estate and Integral Building Technology

Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)

About the Program

The Real Estate and Integral Building Technology program prepares students to be part of teams that understand planning processes and provide impulses for networking and optimization. Students learn to plan, configure, and operate integral building technology. The program focuses on real estate from the start, introducing students to the real estate market and its participants in the first semester. The first two semesters cover general and subject-related basics, while the third and fourth semesters focus on specific building technological competencies. The fifth semester begins with a practical phase, followed by projects and planning-oriented modules with students from the Real Estate and Facility Management program. The program concludes with a bachelor's thesis. The buildings of tomorrow need to be energy efficient, functional, comfortable for users, cost-efficient to operate, and increase in value long-term. Digitalized building technology plays an increasingly important role, as approximately 40% of energy used in Germany is associated with real estate.
