About the Program

In the field of maritime shipping, issues surrounding the environment, engineering, logistics and safety are of great importance. The program features a Center for Modeling & Simulation to replicate nautical and logistical problems, corporate and ship-based operations, and processes in shipbuilding and environmental sciences. New simulation facilities for offshore installations, liquid cargo and engine rooms prepare students for various situations. The course includes an annual training voyage on a schooner and a practical training semester at sea. While primarily preparing students for work at sea, graduates are also qualified for various tasks on land.
