About the Program

Music pedagogy and educational projects increasingly shape the current range of events in the cultural and educational sector. The professional field of instrumental and vocal instructors is also becoming increasingly diverse and presents young professionals with new and interesting challenges. The Master's Degree in Music Pedagogy reacts to this current development and the growing connection between artistic practice and educational mediation. Professional qualifications are enhanced in four focus areas: Instrumental / Vocal Pedagogy, Music Education / Concert Pedagogy, Group Music / Ensemble Management and Elementary Music Pedagogy. The Master's Degree in Music Pedagogy targets the further development of highly educated personalities in art and education and strengthens awareness of the active encounter between people and music. Close cooperation with music schools, general education schools, day-care centers, special educational institutions, social-therapeutic day groups, day groups of child and adolescent psychiatry, senior centers and regional cultural institutions leads to diverse practical experiences.
