About the Program

This bachelor's degree programme is offered in cooperation with the Trossingen University of Music. The programme focuses on working with sound as part of an overall production that can be experienced in a multimedia and multi-sensory way. Students learn to create sound from the elements of composed music, speech and sound. The programme develops skills in ear training, improvisation, composition, musicology, audio technology, and programming languages. In advanced semesters, students work with musicians and artists of all genres, study media management and marketing, and complete practical projects. Students can choose individual focus areas such as Interactive Musical Content and Games, Film Music, Experimental Composition, Music Informatics or Music Mediation. The programme includes a practical semester in the 7th semester and concludes with a bachelor's project and public presentation in the 8th semester.
