About the Program

In the Master's study course in Multimedia Design, students deepen their knowledge at the interfaces of creativity, design, technology and society. The study course focuses on advanced creative, methodological and technical skills that are necessary for the conception and implementation of sophisticated digital and interactive experiences. During the course, students develop complex creative formats, experiment with the latest technologies and hone their ability to critically reflect on their own ideas and embed them in social and cultural contexts. The Master's course specifically prepares students for challenging jobs in the creative industries, game design, media production, education and science as well as digital communication, with a focus on the use of innovative and immersive technologies. Fields of study include multimedia productions and installations, interactive design, 3D-modeling and animation, mixed reality (VR, AR), game and character design, data visualization and generative design, motion design and computer animation, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, and digital storytelling. The program is available in both 2-semester and 4-semester versions.
