About the Program

The Media Design and Production program focuses on various creative fields including Film (production of feature films, documentaries, and image films), Animation (production of animated films, visual effects, games, and virtual reality), Sound (production of sounds and music, film music, and sound art), Graphics (production of graphic, print, web, and interactive design), and Media Art (production of interactive installations and performances, artistic research). Students learn to draw, paint, photograph, layout, print, model, animate, compose, film, direct, act, design scenography, mix sound, compose, jam, brainstorm, research, script, conceptualize, produce, reflect, and present their works at film festivals, art galleries, clubs, and on the internet. The program includes practical work in audio-video studios with professional equipment, animation studios for 2D, 3D, and stop motion animation, sound studios, and more. The first three semesters cover fundamentals across all design areas while working on projects, followed by specialization in chosen areas and a major project in the second study phase. Students also complete an internship in the media industry and finish with a design project as their Bachelor thesis.
