About the Program

The medical education comprises a six-year and three-month study of medicine and a 48-week practical training 'Practical Year', first aid training, a three-month nursing service, a four-month clinical clerkship, and the Medical Examination to be taken in three sections. Medical studies place high demands on students: a broad spectrum of scientific subjects (scientific and medical fundamentals, clinical subjects, and areas from psychology and sociology) and a considerable amount of knowledge must be mastered. The integration of theoretical and practical knowledge with regard to individual cases of illness must be accomplished, and dealing with sick people during training places special demands on personality and communication skills.
