About the Program

The programme combines theory and practice to impart medical and technical knowledge in the innovative fields of digital diagnostics, human-machine interaction, and entrepreneurship by providing exemplary support for medical technology product development from the idea to market launch. The study programme is characterized by the close integration of technical disciplines at HAWK and medical disciplines at the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG). In addition to a sound technical education in the engineering sciences, students gain in-depth demand- and application-oriented basic medical knowledge and insights into medical workflows, especially in the application of medical technology and medical informatics. The content focuses on the future topics of digital diagnostics and human-machine interaction. Graduates should be able to accompany new technologies from conception to market launch through all regulatory instances and evaluate them with regard to their market opportunities and their medical and economic prospects for success.
