About the Program

The Mechatronics program at TUHH is characterized by a high degree of interdisciplinarity and active communication across departments. The program includes a core area (126 credit points) with compulsory elective modules, as well as a specialization (42 credit points) with own compulsory elective modules, and the bachelor thesis in the 6th semester. Students can choose from five specializations: Robots and machine systems, Medical Technology, Dynamic Systems and AI, Marine Engineering, and Electrical Systems. The core area covers fundamentals every engineer needs (mathematics, computer science, materials, measurement and control technology) as well as mechanics and electrical engineering. After completing the program, graduates will be able to design intelligent systems and products and understand their complex technical interrelationships. They find excellent employment opportunities in companies in the automotive and aviation industry, automation technology, robotics, microsystems and precision engineering, and medical technology.
