About the Program

Mechanical Engineering at TU Braunschweig offers a broad-based education with excellent career prospects. The first three semesters cover fundamentals in mathematics, natural sciences, engineering, and information technology. From the fourth semester onwards, students can choose one of six specializations: Energy and Process Engineering, Automotive Engineering and Mobile Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Material Sciences, Mechatronics, or Production and Systems Engineering. The program includes interdisciplinary electives, project work, an eight-week pre-study internship, a ten-week engineering internship during studies, and concludes with a Bachelor's thesis.
