Malerei SkulpturPainting and Sculpture

Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.)

About the Program

The Painting and Sculpture seminar is dedicated to the elementary techniques and media of artistic design and offers participants the opportunity to get to know them, use them for themselves, and approach contemporary art from the perspective of painting and sculpture. For a long time, painting was largely considered a cipher for handmade work, as an expression of artistic immediacy. Meanwhile, however, it is almost naturally combined with digital technology. What was once opposed now interacts. Painting itself and its traditional techniques are also reflected as media through this mutual reference. The discussion about the aesthetic conditions of this process is conducted in the seminars.
