About the Program

The MA User Experience Design is an interdisciplinary 18-month course that equips students with skills and competencies to become research-led, interdisciplinary, and human-centered designers. The program explores how people experience and interact with designed products, services, systems, and spaces, spanning various design disciplines like 3D design, environmental design, and graphic design. Students develop analytical, creative, and technical skills in user experience, rigorous research methods, and a critical, collaborative approach. The course is taught through broad projects connecting students with other postgrad students or industry partners, helping build essential professional teamwork and project management skills, as well as a socially and environmentally relevant portfolio. The program follows four key principles: practice-led, professionally contextualised, critical examination of industry opportunities and threats, and deep dive into historical and contemporary frameworks.
