About the Program

Fashion encompasses all areas of life. The BA/MA Fashion Design program at weißensee academy of art berlin offers two courses: a four-year Bachelor's degree and a two-year Master's degree. The Bachelor's program enables students to develop their own creative position and design identity in fashion design through intensive interaction between practical design work and theoretical analysis. The course is project-oriented, with each semester consisting of an extensive design project and accompanying modules on pattern construction, fashion drawing, presentation techniques, design techniques, costume studies, fashion theory, and entrepreneurship. The Master's program further develops students' design identity and creative visions at the highest level. In addition to classic fashion concepts, projects from related fields and interdisciplinary work can be developed. A six-month specialist internship is integrated into the Master's course of study.
