About the Program

This Master's program prepares highly talented musicians for international careers as soloists for the instruments violin, viola, or cello. Students receive instruction from internationally renowned artists and can thus achieve the highest level of technical and artistic skill; they develop an interpretive, creative and comprehensively educated form of expression, are trained in understanding theoretical, historical and cultural aspects of music, play music alone or with others, and move in an environment in which artistic, intellectual and social skills can be promoted and developed. Those who successfully complete the academic year graduate with a Master of Music (M.Mus.).
