About the Program

This Master's program aims to further develop the artistic personality of students while ensuring optimal preparation for a career as a highly qualified pop church musician. The program builds upon the Bachelor's degree in Church Music Popular and also offers an opportunity for lateral entry from comparable bachelor's degrees. The two-year program includes both mandatory subjects and a larger elective area for individual focus subjects. Study areas include main instrument (piano, guitar, or vocals), choir and orchestra conducting, singing and vocal pedagogy, band practice, composition/songwriting, ear training, theological deepening, and teaching methodology. Students can also choose specialization subjects from areas such as artistic music practice, music education in the church, music production/management, or individual required subjects.
