About the Program

The Master's program in Church Music is a professional qualification in addition to the Bachelor's program. Graduates fulfill the church employment requirements for service as cantors and organists in so-called A-positions or comparable positions. The Master's degree enables church musicians to perform outstanding artistic and theoretical-scientific achievements in church music fields. They are also able to take on professional supervision and, if necessary, service supervision for church music in a church region with offers for training and further education of full-time and part-time church musicians, advise church committees on technical issues, and represent church music in public.
