About the Program

The Bachelor of Music program in 'Evangelical Church Music' or 'Catholic Church Music' leads to a professional qualification for working as a cantor and organist in church service in so-called B-positions or comparable positions. Church musicians trained in this way are able to perform church music tasks in a church congregation and beyond - for example within the framework of a deanery or church district. This applies to all forms of worship, concerts and performances, as well as church and general educational and cultural work. The aim of the study is to promote the individual personality at a high artistic level, the development of instrumental and conducting techniques, pedagogical, scientific and communicative skills, based on a comprehensive musical education.
