About the Program

This International Business programme is designed for students aiming for international careers. Join us to explore how global players operate and make decisions, understand the impact of digitalisation, and enhance your multicultural awareness and leadership skills. You can choose to specialise in International Marketing, International Accounting and Reporting, or International Logistics. All lectures and seminars are held in small groups of approximately 40 students, putting you at the centre of the learning experience. Our modern curriculum is designed to meet the highest academic standards while emphasising hands-on experience. Here are some of the key highlights of the programme: core business and management courses with a global perspective, specialisation courses, including projects with companies and institutions, projects tackling global challenges like sustainability, entrepreneurship, and digitalisation, an integrated study abroad semester, and opportunities for double degree programmes for high-achieving students with business schools in Europe and the U.S. Our graduates consistently rate the programme highly and typically have no difficulty securing demanding and intellectually stimulating international positions, whether in the finance sector or with industrial companies in Germany and neighbouring countries. Thanks to Saarbrücken’s location at the heart of Western Europe, students enjoy great flexibility when completing their mandatory internship – for example, in major financial hubs such as Frankfurt or Paris. Academically, we offer excellent teaching. Two of our professors have received nationwide awards for outstanding teaching in economics. In addition, many of our faculty members bring valuable real-world experience from leading international companies (e.g. Commerzbank or SAP) and top-level public institutions such as the Deutsche Bundesbank.
