About the Program

The Master's programme "Interior Architecture and Furniture Design" offers national and international university graduates in architecture, interior architecture, design and related fields the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and to specialise in architecture or design. The program has two specializations: "Space" which is more architecture-oriented and deals with topics such as "Building in Existing Contexts", "Residential Construction" as well as in-depth building construction and building technology; and "Furniture Design" which is more oriented towards furniture design, furniture construction and the 1:1 scale, dealing with the conception, design and development of architecture-related furniture and products, often in cooperation with industry partners within scientific research projects. The program is practice-oriented with project work referring to current topics from culture and society, seeking experimental utilisation concepts and innovative product solutions. These projects usually do not remain just theory but become reality together with external partners from industry and business.
