The Graduate Academy at the University of Kassel supports doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers in their academic qualification phase. Further training / transferable skills Kassel Graduate Programme is an interdisciplinary further training programme for doctoral candidates from all faculties and sections of the University of Kassel. The programme contains courses for preparation for and support in obtaining academic qualifications as well as courses on development of competences at university as a workplace and orientation with regard to further career steps in science, industry and society. Sustainable Transformations The focus of interdisciplinary sustainability research at the university is on questions of local mobility and renewable energy sources as well as the transformation of energy systems or the use of non-renewable raw materials in the global south. Large international networks provide support in working on these topics of high global relevance with the relevant partners from science and society. With the Kassel Institute for Sustainability, the University of Kassel bundles the broad spectrum of its research and teaching on sustainability in the context of its four fields of expertise: society, nature, technology and culture.
