CONTRIBUTE TO A MORE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT While studying Global Environmental and Sustainability Sciences in an international setting, you will acquire the knowledge to scientifically explain and assess global climate and environmental issues. Moreover, you will learn to understand the social values, norms, and behavioural patterns contributing to these problems, enhance your critical thinking abilities, and develop new approaches for a more sustainable processing of natural resources. As a student of the Global Environmental and Sustainability Sciences programme, you will explore the current sustainability challenges from various disciplinary perspectives to attain a comprehensive understanding of the problems at hand. In this programme, you will acquire a general foundational knowledge of the subject matter and methodological approaches of both natural and social sciences, including mathematics, statistics, ecology, environmental chemistry, and sustainability communication as well as sustainability management and sustainability governance. Furthermore, you can establish an individual profile by selecting from a broad spectrum of electives from both the social and natural sciences. Additionally, you will engage in an internationally oriented interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary sustainability research project, collaborating with partners in the field to develop solutions for real-world social challenges related to sustainable development.
