Freie Kunst und KeramikFine Arts and Ceramics

Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.)

About the Program

The Fine Arts and Ceramics program offers the opportunity to learn and deepen the special expressive possibilities of ceramic media in connection with other artistic media. Ceramic materials (e.g., clay, porcelain, and their surfaces) come to the foreground as much as corresponds to the artistic intention. The study begins with a two-semester basic course in Fine Arts (basic class), after which specialization in Fine Arts and Ceramics is possible. The goal is to learn to realize one's own artistic ideas and to develop sensitivity for the different effects of ceramic media. Experiencing what is possible and attempting the impossible serves the maturation of an individual artistic signature and the development of an artistic concept. The study enables graduates to work as freelance artists and in various creative professions.
