About the Program

The cooperative engineering degree program in Mechatronics (KIS-ME) offers a comprehensive university education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and information technology. System interfaces will be taught, with a great deal of hands-on learning. A characteristic of the hands-on learning is the professional experience or vocational training in a partner company which is to be completed parallel to the degree program. Depending on the specialization in the fields of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or electrical engineering, there are elective modules in the degree program. The blend of full-time work or vocational training and part-time employment during studies provides consistent financial support throughout the program. During the semester break and outside the regular statutory vacation times, students will be working full-time in the partner company. The degree program only accepts prospective students who have signed a work contract or vocational training contract with a cooperating partner company. The degree program is also open to students who have already completed a technical professional or vocational training program, in collaboration with a cooperating partner company.
