About the Program

This is a dual Bachelor's degree program in energy and environmental engineering (KIA model - cooperative study with integrated training). Students develop innovative solutions for efficient, environmentally friendly and safe energy provision for households, industry and mobility. The program combines academic knowledge with practical work experience, offering a double advantage: upon successful completion, graduates receive both a Bachelor of Engineering and a recognized IHK professional qualification. Key areas of study include renewable energy technology (solar, wind, water, biomass), energy-efficient plants and systems, sustainable heat supply technology, power and energy machine technology, technical thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, energy and resource management, and environmental analysis and management. The program follows a structure where students alternate between university studies and practical training in a company, with the first vocational qualification (Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination) completed during the study period.
