About the Program

The Energy Engineering program is a 7-semester solid engineering degree with in-depth fundamentals from mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. The program familiarizes students with the technical foundations of our energy supply and teaches concepts, methods, and tools to help shape our world. Energy engineers work at all stages of converting primary energy to usable energy, take on tasks in planning, building, and operating power plants and energy systems, integrate renewable energies into our energy system, specialize in distribution, storage, and use of energy, deal with efficient management of energy resources, and are active in energy management, technical sales, consulting activities, and research and development.
