About the Program

The Electrical Engineering program covers the fundamentals of electrical engineering to develop devices and systems based on electricity. The program includes information technology, microelectronics, automation technology, communications engineering, microsystems technology, and energy technology. Throughout all areas of electrical engineering, there is a focus on the design of circuits, electronic components and devices, their application, and programming of computers and microcontrollers. The first five semesters cover essential basic knowledge of natural sciences, electrical engineering, and computer science. In the sixth and seventh semesters, students can choose various modules from elective areas to set individual focuses according to their abilities and interests. The seventh semester consists of the bachelor's thesis and either an optional professional internship or continued specialization.
