About the Program

The degree program of electrical engineering and information technology at the HTWG Konstanz prepares technical and innovative thinking people excellently for the topics and challenges of the future. In small groups, students intensively learn the scientific basics and current methods of electrical engineering and information technology and apply them to practical issues in areas such as autonomous systems, e-mobility, smart grids, industry 4.0 and renewable energies. As a result, they thereby acquire the ability to find applicable solutions for the challenges in professional practice. The studies can be adapted to the individual preferences by a variety of choices. One focus of the course is chosen, for example, from the four specialisations Automation Technology, Energy Systems, Information Technology or Communication Technology. A wide range of elective subjects promotes comprehensive training and an extensive network of international partner universities enable students to study abroad for professional, intercultural and personal qualifications.
