The subject of economics/law at lower and upper secondary schools in Thuringia aims to familiarise students with the foundations of our legal and economic system, which is based on special social values (in particular fundamental rights, market economy, private autonomy, protection of freedom). Learners should also be competent to explore the background to socio-economic concepts, categorise them and develop their own position on them. The subject of Economics/Law (W/R) is offered jointly by the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics.
