About the Program

Art history explores national and international artworks, their creation, their appearance, how they function, and the impressions they create. The program focuses on the interpretation of artworks considering aesthetic, historical, sociological or economic aspects, which also include knowledge of artists' biographies and artistic techniques. Besides working with texts and visual media, the program offers a strong focus on studying objects on site through tutorials before original artworks or on field trips. This subject must be combined with a second subject.
