About the Program

Dramaturgy is one of the most diverse fields of work in the theater. The Hamburg Master's degree course in Dramaturgy can be studied with a focus on acting and music dramaturgy. In the first half of the course, the focus is on theoretical and scientific lessons on the history and aesthetics of theater, music and dance theater, introductions to acting and movement, mediation in theater and the basics of stage and costume design. Numerous projects are realized at the university and at cooperating theaters in Hamburg in collaboration with the drama and musical theater directing courses. Additional workshops and event participations include: Körber Studio Junge Regie, Theater der Welt, Autorenlounge, Brutkastenfestival.
