About the Program

This study course is designed as a full-time, four-semester Master programme (120 ECTS), and is particularly aimed at graduates of the Church Music, Music Teaching, Music Pedagogy and Voice study courses. The study course, extremely broadly based in its module offering, provides the foundation for a diverse vocational practice of artistic fields ranging from elementary to semi-professional, with comprehensive expertise in mediation, presentation and management tasks. Numerous lesson shadowing opportunities and demonstration lessons in a wide range of institutions and at cooperation partners of the Folkwang University of the Arts – ranging from kindergartens and schools up to scholae cantorum and church choirs depending on the field of study, ensure a close relationship between training and vocational practice. The program offers specializations in: Choral Direction, Singing with Children and Youngsters, and Singing with Children and Youngsters (part-time study-course).
