About the Program

In cooperation with the renowned University of Southern Denmark (Syddansk Universitet, SDU), the Brand University of Applied Sciences (BU) supports dissertation projects by selected graduates. The doctoral program focuses on application-oriented research in the areas of brand management, communication or design and establishes an intercultural link between China and Germany. The academic degrees awarded are Dr. phil. (Doctor of Philosophy, PhD) and Dr. rer. pol. (Doctor of Business Administration, DBA). The degrees are internationally recognized and are awarded by the SDU. The program can be completed full-time in 3 years or part-time in 3-5 years.
