Conducting Orchestra

Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.)

About the Program

The "Bachelor of Music Orchestra Conducting" course is based on classical conductor training. On the basis of intensive score study, students learn conducting technique as a prerequisite for organizing musical processes and deepening the artistic expression of their own interpretative ideas. The repertoire includes symphonic works as well as music theater pieces. The additional training in piano, piano reduction and score playing as well as singing prepares students thoroughly for a possible career in the theater. In cooperation with other teachers, it is also possible to gain impulses from the fields of early music, new music or working with choirs or amateur ensembles. The conducting class works with a professional orchestra at least once a semester and presents the results as a concert in the university's concert hall.
