About the Program

Building on the first professionally qualifying degree, the Master's degree program provides students with in-depth specialist knowledge and enables them to apply scientific methods and findings to difficult and complex computer science problems, both in practice and in research. The Master's degree programme in Computer Science allows students to specialize individually with its very wide range of electives. The course content is both research-oriented and has a strong practical focus and is oriented towards the research priorities of the Institute of Computer Science. The program includes a two-semester research and development project in project groups of eight to ten students, where students deepen both computer science content and essential social skills. Possible career fields include the information and communication sector, management consultancies, public authorities, banks, insurance companies, and academia.
