About the Program

This course takes participants on a journey through the history and present day of important women from Wittenberg and the surrounding area. Topics such as equality, diversity, and women's rights are examined from an intercultural perspective. The aim is to develop a deep understanding of the role of women in different eras and social contexts through linguistic, cultural, and interactive activities. Course objectives Deepening German language skills with a focus on academic language, discussions, and presentations Learning about historical and contemporary women from the region and their influence on society and culture Reflecting on women's rights and diversity in Germany and internationally Through selected regional topics, the many facets of modern German life will be discovered in activities such as conversations with experts, presentations, excursions, and a final course project. With participants from around the world, knowledge exchange and intercultural learning will be significant aspects of this summer course. All courses have lessons on pronunciation. After a full day of learning and gathering new impressions, a variety of free time activities and intercultural get-togethers will help you to enjoy this wonderful summer course.
