About the Program

The consecutive Master's program in Biomedical Engineering builds on the corresponding specialization within the framework of the Bachelor's programs in General Engineering or Engineering Science as well as Mechanical Engineering at the TUHH. The focus of this course is on acquiring knowledge and skills in engineering-specific, medical and business aspects of patient care. Students choose one of the four concentrations offered: Implants and endoprostheses, Artificial Organs and Regenerative Medicine, Management and Administration, or Medical and Control Engineering. Common to all majors are in-depth lectures on medical imaging systems as well as medical case studies and an introduction to medicine and disease teaching in the university clinic. A clinical nursing internship is conducted to provide a better understanding of everyday clinical practice.
