About the Program

The master degree programme in Biomechanical Engineering aims at generating professional and methodical competences that allow comprehensive analysis of biomedical-technical relationships by using basic scientific knowledge. The program combines specific knowledge in mechanical engineering, medicine, biology and science of sports and motricity to realize an interdisciplinary approach. Students are offered two different specialisation tracks - endoprosthetics (focusing on medical devices that remain within the human body) and exoprosthetics (focusing on medical assistance systems that work outside the human body). The curriculum includes specific and interdisciplinary modules in materials science, mechanical engineering and construction, mechanics, human medicine, biology and medical device regulation.
