About the Program

The dual Bachelor's program in Civil Engineering combines civil engineering studies with vocational training as a skilled worker in a construction or craft trade. The focus of the study is on providing a well-founded and practice-oriented engineering education in the basic skills of planning, dimensioning, and construction. In addition to technical knowledge, students strengthen their social, methodological, and personal competencies. The civil engineering program optimally prepares students for extensive tasks in all fields of civil engineering. The program is organized in three phases: 1) First eight months focus on vocational training in the chosen construction profession, 2) Study and commercial training alternate based on lecture and non-lecture periods, ending with the final examination as a skilled worker, 3) The study continues and concludes with the Bachelor's thesis.
