Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

Our society thrives on communication. Communication is everywhere. All around us, all kinds of messages are created that need to be delivered to the appropriate target groups. That's where communications designers come in. They use creativity and design skills and draw on strategic, conceptional, and technological capabilities to ensure the different messages reach exactly the right places. Their role is to make sure the messages are received positively and are memorable. Communication Design students learn and refine all of the skills that are needed for this role. The degree program prepares students for the workforce – equipping them with what they need to find the right answers to the design challenges of our time, across all types of media. The program is structured into: Program sections A + B (two semesters of fundamental principles), Program section C (four semesters of project-based learning), and On-the-job training/internship (one semester). Students work on campaigns, animations, movies, spatial installations, exhibitions, and other projects while also attending complementary production and theory courses.
