About the Program

The study of Art/Art Education is characterized by a close interlocking of theory and practice. After introductory basic courses, individual studio, workshop and laboratory work is accompanied by corrective courses. This is complemented by an examination of contemporary and historical art. In subject didactics, the knowledge gained is related to the school and extracurricular professional fields. Excursions are an important part of the course. Trips to the major museums in Paris, London, New York, Copenhagen, Rome, Venice and Vienna allow students to engage with the originals. The subject Art/Art Education is offered as a major, core and minor subject and must be combined with another subject.
