About the Program
The "Applied Research in Engineering Sciences" (APR for short, often referred to as "Research Master" at THI) Master's degree program offers outstanding engineers and computer scientists the opportunity to receive comprehensive and advanced training for a career in applied research and development. Each student is assigned a research assistant as a mentor, which enables comprehensive support throughout the entire Master's program. In addition to lectures and seminars, the course includes specific projects at THI. Together with the mentor and supervising professor, students select lectures from a large pool of courses to suit their projects and interests. The courses can be individually selected from the fields of electrical engineering, computer science and mechatronics as well as from related disciplines. The research master's degree offers the perfect preparation for a possible doctorate or for higher-level tasks in industry.
