Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

The Bachelor's program in General Engineering Science (GES) provides students with the broadest possible basic knowledge of all central engineering disciplines. Unlike other engineering programs that focus on a specific discipline, GES aims to teach the basics and methods across various engineering fields. The program is structured with core subjects (about half of the curriculum) covering scientific principles, mathematical methods, and fundamental laws of engineering sciences. After the first year, students choose one of 9 specializations (majors): Advanced Materials, Civil Engineering, Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Green Technologies, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Naval Architecture. The program includes a 10-week basic internship (ideally completed before starting studies), a 12-week advanced internship in the last semester, and concludes with a bachelor thesis in the 7th semester.
