About the Program

Doctoral candidates will conduct their scientific research at institutes for the following fields of study: Agribusiness, Plant Production, Livestock Sciences, Economics and Social Sciences in Agriculture, Resource Management. They concentrate on the basic principles of the natural sciences, production technology and the economic and social structure of agriculture as well as the current and future state of agricultural production and its effects on society, economy and environment. They deliver the scientific fundaments for the analysis of development in the agricultural sector and make an important contribution to securing nourishment and the development of rural areas on the basis of sustainable production systems.
