Do I need to print my visa appointment confirmation?

✓ Answered · 1 min read · Community · 18 views

It is generally recommended. Bringing a printout of your appointment confirmation is the safe option, because some consulates or visa application centres may check this document at the entrance or at the counter.

Our recommendation

  • Bring a printed copy and keep the digital version on your phone as well.
  • Having both helps you avoid problems if, for example, your phone battery is empty or there is no mobile connection.

Caveat: practices differ between missions and visa centres. Follow the instructions in your appointment confirmation and on the website of the consulate or visa centre you are applying through.
