What are your options for a Public Health master's degree in Germany?

Germany has Public Health master's programmes, but no common set of requirements: each programme sets its own language, grade, document and selection rules. The two programmes below are examples only.

#Example 1: Bielefeld University – MSc Public Health

• A completed first degree of at least 6 semesters (180 LP) from a university or a Fachhochschule.
• A project draft of about 10 pages as the aptitude assessment.
• Most teaching is in German, and proof of German is required.
• You apply directly to the university; neither a ZAB statement nor a uni-assist VPD is needed.

#Example 2: Charité Berlin – MSc Public Health

• The course language is German; only selected modules are taught in English.
• Selection is based on your previous degree grade (55 percent) and a subject test (45 percent).

#Continuing-education (weiterbildende) master's

These programmes charge fees, and some require at least one year of professional experience. Details are in each programme's own regulations.

#How to find programmes

Search for "Public Health" in the DAAD international programmes database and the Higher Education Compass, then check each programme's application page for the teaching language, language certificate, admission requirements and deadlines. There is no Germany-wide English or German score requirement.
