Are platforms like WG-Gesucht free?
Most platforms offer basic search for free, with premium membership unlocking faster ad viewing and messaging.
Platform Comparison

Is Premium Necessary?
PREMIUM is useful for Berlin/München — new ads fill up in 5 minutes, premium gives 1 hour early access. It's worth it if you have a 20€ monthly budget.
Unnecessary for other cities — the free version is sufficient.
Beware of Scams
- "I'll send the key via PayPal" → scam.
- Someone asking for payment without you seeing the apartment → scam.
- Very cheap price, "I'm leaving urgently" story → scam.
