Can associate degree (Önlisans) graduates study at a university in Germany?

Yes — a completed Önlisans combined with a TYT score above 150 gives you direct, subject-restricted access without a Studienkolleg. You can apply for bachelor's programmes in your previous field and related subjects.

#Key distinctions

• Önlisans is not a university degree. It is a 2-year short-cycle programme, so it does not give access to all subjects and does not lead to a Studienkolleg.
• Only one year at a 2-year MYO, no diploma: the route is a Studienkolleg, and for Fachhochschulen only.
• Access to all subjects officially requires a completed Lisans of at least 4 years.

#Who decides what is "related"?

There is no fixed public list of related subjects — the university you apply to decides. If the university uses uni-assist, you upload your documents digitally in My assist, but the admission decision still rests with the university.
