This elite degree programme is offered together by the University of Augsburg, the Technical University of Munich and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and trains outstanding students in the leading-edge areas of software engineering. Graduates should not only be able to meet the challenges of the future, but also actively shape future trends and developments. The degree programme focuses on the central topics of software engineering and is supported by the Elite Network Bavaria as well as renowned company partners, which makes exceptional offers to students possible. The program is geared towards the top 2 percent of students in computer science and aims to educate an elite for the leading edge areas of Software Engineering. The highlights of the program include a world-wide science network offering the opportunity to stay abroad, integration of world-wide leading industrial partners, accompanying soft skills education, and individual mentoring by scientists and decision makers in industry. The Software Engineering Master Program is accredited by ASIIN for the period of 2018-2023 and bears the labels of ASIIN and AR (Akkreditierungsrat). Career prospects include software design and architecture, project management, strategic IT consulting, quality assurance, and university and industrial research. Special features include small classes, independent courses, close cooperation with industry, student practical projects, Master's thesis abroad, and mentoring.
